ISSD, as the National Operator of FEE, serves as the only implementor of Eco-Schools programme in Armenia, which empowers schools to integrate environmentally friendly practices into educational systems and become certified. We promote sustainability in education and raise environmental awareness among students, teachers and schools across the country to create a greener future.

The 7 steps methodology
The Eco-Schools Seven Steps methodology involves carefully planned measures to help schools achieve their environmental goals, with students playing a key role in the process.
Form a diverse team of students, teachers and other stakeholders to lead the Eco-Schools programme.
Evaluate the school’s current environmental performance to identify areas for improvement.
Create a detailed plan with specific actions and targets to improve sustainability of your school.
Track and regularly review the effectiveness of actions taken to ensure continuous improvement.
Integrate sustainability and environmental education into the school’s curriculum in various subjects.
Involve the entire school community and inform them of the programme’s goals, progress and successes.
Develop a clear and concise statement that reflects the school’s commitment to environmental sustainability and serves as a guide for its actions.
